Marriott Dalmahoy is a renowned world-class golf venue with two very different, but equally inspiring courses. The legendary course designer James Braid created the East and West Courses at Marriott Dalmahoy to offer contrasting challenges for golfers of all abilities.
Marriott Dalmahoy has been the home to many prestigious golf events over the years, featuring such illustrious players as Greg Norman, Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Lee Trevino, and Colin Montgomerie. The two 18 hole golf courses are situated on 1,000 acres of stunning Scottish countryside surrounded by woodlands, streams, lakes and the Pentland Hills.
In 2005, the prestigious East Course completed a £1 million redevelopment and is now a true championship venue once more. The course is a monster at over 7,400 yards, however for corporate events and members' competitions; it is set at a more manageable 6,684 yards.
The East Course has hosted major championships such as the Solheim Cup in 1992, the Scottish PGA Championship on numerous occasions and the Scottish Seniors Open in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
The shorter West Course at Marriott Dalmahoy poses some very different challenges: tighter fairways and smaller greens call for a more accurate game. And the final hole across the Gogar Burn offers a spectacular end to a memorable round.
After a refreshing round, Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club beckons you home with all the fine things in life: enjoy an unforgettable meal in the award winning Pentland Restaurant or indulge in a light lunch in the Long Weekend Cafe Bar.
With its breathtaking scenery, Baronial Manor, incredible sunsets and views of Edinburgh Castle, Marriott Dalmahoy combines tradition with modern comfort. As the hotel is set within 1,000 acres of parkland, you would never know you're just 7 miles from the centre of Edinburgh, Scotland's lively capital.
