OUR INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

Due to the unpredictability of the UK weather, adverse weather conditions will be inevitable during the course of the year. This means hotels and golf courses may have to shut the golf course completely or at their sole discretion place temporary tees and/or greens at short notice.

When such conditions happen our Inclement Weather Policy is as follows:

Prior to arrival date

If you wish to know the inclement weather policy of the resort/club you are booked to play please ask your Travel Caddie when booking or at least 7 day prior to your arrival date. We would be more than happy to call the resort on your behalf to check the conditions of the golf course one day before your arrival. Your Travel Caddie can be contacted either by phone: 0800 098 8302 or via email.

If you decide not to travel, you will be subject to the policy of each of our suppliers. If we are given reasonable notice, we will try and postpone your golf break; however a price supplement may be incurred, depending upon the date your break has been re-booked i.e. Cancelling in the low season and then rearranging in the high season. We do not issue any refunds, under any circumstance, for cancellations made due to the closure of the course.

During your golf break

Playing golf on temporary greens and tees is considered to be an acceptable risk of playing golf in the winter and therefore is non-refundable. For those whose rely heavily upon using a trolley or buggy, you will need to be aware that trolley and/or buggy bans can be implemented when a course is wet or frozen (or other health & safety grounds) and therefore a ban put in place by the golf resort/golf club. Please ring the courses or your Travel Caddie prior to leaving as even in good weather this may happen.

If due to the closure of the golf course during your golf break, we will try but any without guarantee, obtain a refund or green fee vouchers for the golf element of your golf break only.

It is important to note that the winter breaks we sell are at a discounted rate, means, any refund the golf supplier issues may not be the equivalent to the full green fee and in many instances the golf element of your golf break is considered complimentary.

We are on your side, however, each hotel and golf course sets its own inclement weather policy, which means any decision regarding refunds or green fee vouchers will be solely at the discretion of the golf resort and should be considered as final.
