blacksearama golf & villas
The golf course at BlackSeaRama is a 'links' type which has hosted the European Boys Challenge in 2009 and in the same year the course received the 'best new international course', high praise indeed. From the Lighthouse Golf Course the BlackSeaRama course is only a two minute buggy ride away.
Opened in 2008, and occupying a clifftop setting along the edge of the sea, this links course offers golfers an exceptional and memorable experience. The course at BlackSeaRama carries an air of quality and is another great Gary Player designed course, which shows a maturity beyond its early years.
The course opens up with two straight forward holes, whilst the third, a short par 4, offers the chance to put a three on the card. Water runs down the left side of the fairway on the fourth hole, and also surrounds one side of the green, thus making for a tricky approach shot. The 5th hole is a beauty, a short par 3 but it is a challenging hole with water running all the way to the green. Overall water comes into play on five of the holes.
The back nine starts strong enough but the last four holes, which are arguably the best holes on the course, could make or break your round. The finishing 18th is a magnificent signature par 3 hole, which tees over a valley, and plays around 240 yards from the back tee. Overall, the greens are immaculate and the fairways are both varied in size and difficulty. The rough, which surrounds the course, is just waiting to claim any wayward shot like any true links course should do.
BlackSeaRama's golf academy has the latest golf simulator equipment which facilitates training all year round, both indoors and outdoors. In addition, BlackSeaRama has two tennis courts, a professional gym, a therapeutic massage center, as well as unlimited opportunities for practicing various sports. The complex offers everything from cycling and table tennis to riding, fishing, hunting, diving and yachting.
